I’m Jess, founder of Jessica Laura Weddings, a Shropshire-based wedding planning business creating beautifully considered celebrations for couples across the UK.
So, how did I get here?
Jessica Laura Weddings was born after I married the love of my life, Mark, in June 2023. I’ve always been someone who loves a plan, a creative challenge and a well-considered detail. Planning our own wedding helped me see how naturally these strengths, combined with my professional experience and passion for weddings, could translate into a career helping other couples bring their visions to life. It was the nudge I needed to leave my corporate career behind and build a business of my own.
Through Jessica Laura Weddings, I’ve worked across a variety of settings, from dry-hire venues and marquee celebrations to private properties. I’ve also gained in-house experience planning weddings at two very different venues: a luxury manor house and a rustic, outdoor-focused location. This breadth of experience has taught me to adapt to each environment, understand the practicalities involved and find the best way to bring every couple’s vision to life.
The details matter. So does the bigger picture.
For me, a beautiful wedding is about more than considered styling or a perfectly timed schedule. It’s about creating an atmosphere that reflects who you are and an experience that feels personal from beginning to end.
My approach starts with understanding what matters most to you. From guiding decisions and sourcing the right suppliers to keeping everything organised, I’m there to offer clear direction and practical support at every stage. I think ahead, anticipate what might be needed and make sure the smaller elements never lose sight of the overall vision.
Much of my work happens behind the scenes, connecting the many moving parts so the day feels effortless for you and your guests.

I’ll make sure everything we’ve planned comes together beautifully, quietly taking care of any unexpected twists before they ever reach you. From overseeing the wider setup and coordinating all the moving parts to providing dedicated, VIP-level support throughout the day, I’m there to protect your peace, keep everything running smoothly and make sure you feel completely looked after.

A little more about me
When I’m not in wedding mode, you’ll probably find me planning my next travel adventure, spending time with my husband and our fiery little dachshund, Riley, or tucked away in one of Shrewsbury’s cafés with an iced matcha and almond croissant.
Having travelled to over 30 countries and counting, I love discovering beautiful places, meeting new people and stepping outside my comfort zone. I’m always keen to learn about different cultures and wedding traditions, and I bring that same curiosity and appreciation for individuality to the celebrations I plan.

A clear plan, every step of the way
From budgets and supplier bookings to timelines and all the decisions in between, I’ll help you navigate the process with clear guidance, considered recommendations and a proactive approach. You’ll know what’s coming next, where to focus your attention and when it’s time to make each decision.
There when it matters most
When your wedding day arrives, I’ll take care of everything behind the scenes, from coordinating suppliers and overseeing the timings to making sure every detail comes together as planned. My role is to manage the logistics, anticipate what’s needed and quietly handle anything that arises, so you can be fully present and enjoy the day you’ve been looking forward to.
